ACCOMPANIMENT LESSONS LUCAN
Accompaniment is a music term representing an instrumental class with a qualified pianist and an instrumental teacher (vocal, violin, saxophone, etc.). A pianist must accompany a student attending an exam, audition, or performing at the seasonal recital.
Fermata Music School Lucan offers discounted rates to our student when they play with a pianist, e.g. when they wish to have Accompaniment Class.
WHAT IS THE ACCOMPANIMENT CLASS AND WHEN WE NEED IT?
Playing on the most string and woodwind instruments or singing would require performing with the pianist at some stage of the development.
Fermata Music School offers to hire a pianist for our students and external events, such as performances at the Junior or Leaving Certs. All our prices are very affordable and are all-in-one packages, including at least one rehearsal before the final performance or audition.
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
The typical session of accompaniment will last 30 minutes, and we can organize it as frequently as required to achieve a satisfactory outcome for exam, audition or concert. For more advanced students (Grade 6 and Up) we suggest a 45 or minutes rehearsal session.

30 Minutes Exam Rehearsal
- €50 fee covers 30 Minutes of Accompanist Hire for exam or recital preparation. Extra €25 supplement for non-students for room hire. Pay As You Go – Limited Availability
1h Digital Exam Recording Package
- €99 fee covers 1-hour Digital Exam Recording package, where an accompanist is required. Pay As You Go – Limited Availability.
Rehearsal + External Exam Package
- €149 includes 1 x 30-minute rehearsal plus accompanist hire for an external exam for Non-Fermata students in Dublin and County Dublin venues.
